The Story of Us

"Two pairs of eyes are better than one."

Who We Are

Amanda began her career in the news industry, editing videos and working with large, commercial-grade news cameras. These days she spends more time with her Nikon DSLRs, has a passion for wildlife and still life photography, and captures memories with her favorite people.

Doug spends most of his time at his day job as a software engineer, but he has nursed a skill in photography that began taking sports photos for his college newspaper. Doug specializes in astrophotography and landscapes, though he can be found carrying Amanda's bags on a shoot or helping her edit her photos after.

Together, "Two Masons" represents our collaborative approach. We believe that two pairs of eyes are better than one, allowing us to see angles and lighting that might otherwise be missed. Whether we are chasing the Milky Way in the middle of the night or waiting patiently for wildlife to emerge at dawn, our dedication to the craft drives us forward.

Our Gear

We shoot primarily with Nikon full-frame DSLRs (D850, D750) and a variety of fast prime and zoom lenses to ensure the highest quality images in any lighting condition. From wide-angle astrophotography lenses to super-telephoto wildlife glass, we have the right tool for every moment.

Based in Colorado

We're located in Berthoud, Colorado, at the base of the Rocky Mountains. We're happy to travel to your preferred location for sessions, with beautiful mountain backdrops just a short drive away.
